Join us at Schmitt Elementary for a ribbon cutting.
Lillian C. Schmitt Elementary, the first school supported by the Cummins Architectural Foundation program, is celebrating the completion of its nearly $20 million dollar full renovation, which has spanned two years. The space boasts new learning commons areas for each grade level, a dedicated STEM lab and makerspace to support inquiry-based learning, spaces for student emotional wellness, and other improvements. The building has been completely transformed while honoring Harry Weese's original architectural intent.
