General Purpose and Scope of the position:

Major Responsibilities:


The Propeller Training Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Propeller facility and assisting with the
design, development, and delivery of training, programs and services directed toward developing STEM skills within the community. Work collaboratively with community partners and other departments within Ivy Tech Community College to successfully implement metrics tied to employers, students and College outcomes and ensure services and products exceed customer and College expectations.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of STEM-specific training, programs, and services to provide enriched student experiences at any level of the educational journey.
  • Identify and work with local partners to offer STEM training and
  • workshop opportunities for students, employer partners and the
  • general public at the Propeller Facility.
  • Oversee operational and facility needs of the Propeller.
  • Ensure all training documentation is accurate and maintained.
  • Ensure materials and equipment necessary for the delivery of services are prepared prior to when training occurs.
  • Maintain records of projects and other information as necessary to provide reports in a timely manner.
  • Establish, maintain, and cultivate positive, collaborative partnerships with employers, education partners, and other
  • community partners.
  • Work with external and internal partners to create training needs
  • for students and employees.
  • Participate in training and professional development as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with one (1) to three (3) years related work experience OR an associate degree or industry-related certification
along with three (3) to four (4) years related work experience.

One (1) to two (2) years of prior supervisor experience.
Ability to work independently.

Work Hours: 12:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Friday and willingness to work some weekends
