Our Hospice Announces Annie Ford, RN as Quarterly “DAISY Award” Recipient

[Columbus, Indiana] December 4, 2024– Our Hospice of South Central Indiana
(OHSCI) is proud to announce that Annie Ford, RN, has won the “DAISY Award” for the
3 rd Quarter of 2024. The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses, supported by the
DAISY Foundation, honors the compassionate care nurses provide daily. Nurses are
nominated by patients and their team members.

Ford was selected because of her exemplary commitment to
providing care to her patients. “From the first day of meeting
Annie where she knelt down to where I was sitting to
introduce herself, I knew then that she had a very caring
heart,” shared one of Ford’s patients. The patient added “she
is so very compassionate and understanding with me and my
family. She has been there to help with every question and
concern. We are so thankful to have her along with us on this
journey.”

About the DAISY Award
The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune SYstem) Award is an international recognition program that
honors and celebrates the skillful, compassionate care nurses provide every day. The DAISY Foundation was
established by the family of J. Patrick Barnes after he died from complications of the auto-immune disease ITP in 1999. During his hospitalization, they deeply appreciated the care and compassion shown to Patrick and
