Ignite Columbus: One Small Thing
“One Small Thing”
One Small Thing, a spark, that can create a ripple effect in building America’s Best Community.
Ignite is an idea-sharing competition held in over 100 cities worldwide. These events are a venue for innovative thinkers to share their personal and professional passions, using 20 slides that auto-advance every 15 seconds for a total of just 5 minutes.
This spring, Ignite is proud to partner with Quest for a special event centered on the theme One Small Thing. Together, we’re inviting presenters who believe that real change often starts small — with a single idea, story, or spark that can grow into something powerful.
Quest is spearheading a community effort to bring the community together to craft a shared vision for the future of our city, and this collaboration between Quest and Ignite Columbus creates space for voices that inspire action and possibility. Whether you’re sharing a practical solution or a bold idea, your “one small thing” could create a ripple effect that helps Build America’s Best Community.
Join us at Helen Haddad Hall on Thursday, March 12th to hear from local presenters who wish to share their ideas on that "One Small Thing".
Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
I) “Most Impactful Presentation” – CASH Prize - Competitors will pitch their ideas to the panel of judges for funding. The project must focus on One Small Thing that will create a ripple effect that helps Build America’s Best Community. Remember, creativity is key!
II) “Most Enlightening Presentation” - CASH Prize - Competitors will teach the audience something. This category isn’t tied to a project – it’s designed to be educational or entertaining and centered around our theme of One Small Thing.
A “People’s Choice Award” will also be given where audience members vote on their favorite presentation.
