Discover Columbus is an exclusive three-part onboarding program led by the Columbus Chamber. This unique experience is designed to introduce new employees and new residents to our community's history, culture, and values while discovering why Columbus is such an amazing place to live, work, and play.

September 13, 2023 | Columbus AirPark Campus: Education & Aviation
We will gather at Columbus Learning Center where you will meet leaders from BCSC, Ivy Tech, IU Columbus, and Purdue Polytechnic. Visit the newly renovated Propeller Innovation Center, Bakalar Air Museum and see Charlie 119 up close. We will end our session with a "behind the scenes" tour of airport operations. 
 

October 4, 2023 | History of Columbus
Participants will get to learn and see the history of Columbus in the 1800s. What is so "wicked" about Columbus, with author Paul Hoffman sharing stories from his book. The Bartholomew County Historical Society will be playing games, plus a tour of Zaharako's secr

et apartment and a tour of The Crump Theater. 
 

November 29, 2023 | Meet City Officials
We will gather at City Hall to have breakfast with the Mayor, tour City Hall, the Columbus Police Department, walk the 1821 Trail, hear from a variety of department leaders within City Hall, including the Columbus Fire Chief and learn about Columbus Parks & Rec.
