Continuous improvement and lean methodologies are integral to success in many organizations. In business and industry, today’s workforce needs to be equipped in quality assurance, team dynamics, data collection and analysis, process flowcharts, control charts, charting metrics and eliminating waste.
TRAINING OVERVIEW
Ivy Tech Community College is offering a Yellow Belt training course to help you prepare for the American Society for Quality Yellow Belt Certification exam. The skills and knowledge attained by completing the Yellow Belt training will be utilized in many areas of work, including business settings, healthcare, manufacturing and nonprofit organizations.
COURSE DETAILS
Yellow Belt training will consist of 18 hours of in-class sessions with 20 hours of outside study.
Ivy Tech’s Certified Quality Trainer will teach this noncredit class which adheres to the ASQ Body of Knowledge. Participants will sit for the ASQ exam scheduled after the final class session.
HOW TO ENROLL

Yellow Belt training is held in partnership with the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce. The training will be held at the Columbus Learning Center, 4555 Central Ave., Columbus 47203, in room 2220. Class will meet three consecutive Mondays; June 13, 20 and 27. Training will begin at 8:00a.m. and will end at 4:00 p.m. Lunch will be on your own. Exam will be held on Monday, July 11 at the CLC. Costs include $93.86 for the ASQ Handbook and $189 for the ASQ exam fee. Seating is limited so please sign up early to guarantee your registration.
