Window Treatment Installer

Job Description
Budget Blinds of Columbus, Bloomington, and Martinsville is seeking an individual to assist with installing window treatments. The position involves installing various window treatments like blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery, ensuring they fit properly and operate properly. Key responsibilities include communicating with clients, preparing
work areas, and adhering to safety guidelines. 

Responsibilities:

• Measuring and Installation: Accurately measure windows and install a variety of window treatments, ensuring
• proper fit and functionality. 
• Product Knowledge: Understand different types of window treatments (blinds, shades, shutters, draperies) and their installation methods. 
• Client Communication: Consult with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing recommendations and updates on the installation process. 
• Work Area Preparation: Prepare the installation area, including cleaning and ensuring surfaces are suitable for installation. 
• Material Handling: Transport, manage materials and tools for each installation. 
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines, use protective gear, and maintain a safe work environment. 
• Troubleshooting and Repair: Address any issues during installation, make necessary repairs, and ensure customer satisfaction. 
• Documentation: Maintain records of installations, inventory, and any necessary paperwork.  Collection of final payment at completion of installation
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, educate customers on product use and maintenance, and address any concerns. 

• Experience:  Prior experience in window treatment installation or a related field (e.g., carpentry, construction) is preferred. 
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, work at heights (using ladders and scaffolding), and perform tasks requiring physical stamina. 
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with hand and power tools, measuring tape, and potentially other carpentry tools. 
• Communication Skills:  Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. 
• Problem-Solving:  Ability to identify and resolve issues during installation. 
• Attention to Detail:  Accuracy in measurements, installations, and documentation. 
• Time Management:  Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. 
• Valid Driver's License:  A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required for traveling to job sites in Columbus, Bloomington, Martinsville and surrounding areas.
