Facilities, Maintenance, and Repair

Position Summary / Resumen de posición:
Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the facility. This includes safely handling, mixing, and using cleaning chemicals and supplies in accordance with safety guidelines. Ensures all assigned areas—including the Front Office, Lobby, Restrooms, and Breakrooms—are thoroughly cleaned and maintained to company standards. Performs additional duties as assigned to support overall facility cleanliness and operations.
This position is not responsible for supervising any employee.

Key Responsibilities / Responsabilidades clave:
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and organize tasks to ensure all duties are completed in a timely manner. 
  • Verbal communication skills to report issues and coordinate with others.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Knowledge of proper procedures for gathering, emptying, and disposing of trash.
  • Well versed in OSHA requirements for Hazard Communication, Bloodborne Pathogens, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Electrical Safety, Slip, Trip, and Fall Prevention, Ergonomics and Material Handling, Respiratory Protection, Lockout/Tagout, and Training and Recordkeeping.
  • The incumbent is expected to manage company resources responsibly.

Required Qualifications / Requisitos obligatorios:
  • Requires a High School Diploma or GED, along with 1–2 years of experience in custodial or cleaning services.
  • The ideal candidate demonstrates attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-presented facility environment.

?Work Environment / Ambiente de trabajo:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects for long periods.
  • Knowledge of sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing, and sanitizing various surfaces, especially restrooms.
  • Skill in using and maintaining cleaning equipment like vacuum cleaner, floor buffer, and carpet cleaner.
  • Frequently moves safely about the building to conduct business.
Constantly must wear common protective or safety equipment – ANSI Z87.1 2003 standard safety glasses are required in plant.
