Position Summary:
The Resource Development Director will serve as the lead relationship-builder between Su Casa and the regional corporate community, with an intentional focus on engaging the region’s largest employers—many of whom have workforces comprising 30% to 70% Latino employees. This role is central to forging long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships that advance Su Casa’s mission while supporting employer workforce goals.
The Resource Development Director will also follow and maintain a comprehensive resource development strategy, integrating corporate engagement with grants, individual giving, and events to ensure the long-term sustainability of Su Casa’s programs and long-term relationships with new and existing donors.
Organization Summary:
Su Casa envisions a thriving and valued Latino community that benefits all of us. Founded in 1999 as a response to the increase of Latin American immigrants arriving in Columbus, Su Casa today serves over 1500 households yearly in Bartholomew and Jackson Counties. The mission to improve self-sufficiency, health, economic independence, education, and safety for Latino families remains central to the work.
Essential Functions:
80% Resource Development
● Achieve annual fundraising goals
● Work with the Resource Development Board Committee to implement Su Casa’s comprehensive resource development strategy to sustain and increase revenue through various giving streams and strategies
● Foster regional corporate relationships and partnerships to support aligned goals for the Latino workforce
● Effectively communicate and convey Su Casa’s mission, vision, priorities, and communities served to local leaders, and the community at-large
● Plan and execute fundraising and outreach events with existing partnerships, including the annual Fiesta Latina and Diversity Gala
● Collaborate with the Executive Director to deliver key marketing messages, impact reports and storytelling, calls to action, fundraising needs, and sponsorship opportunities
● Develop and maintain data and reports for volunteers, partners, donors, and the Board of Directors (event fundraising reports, fundraising tracker, grant tracker, etc.)
● Maintain and update donor records through the Bloomerang and Zeffy databases
● Support with grant research and applications as needed
20% Networking and Collaboration
● Advocate for the Latino community and Su Casa mission through workplace meetings, presentations, community events and fairs, etc.
● Sustain and develop corporate and organizational partnerships to further Su Casa’s mission and impact
● Promote Su Casa’s work to construct and preserve donors, mission champions, and community advocates
● Advance engagement opportunities for donors, partners, and other stakeholders
Qualifications:
● Experience in corporate relations, fundraising, community engagement, and/or economic development; managing a collaborative environment with multiple partner organizations a plus
● Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including public speaking, presentation, and negotiation; Spanish proficiency preferred, Chu’j and/or Portuguese a plus
● Proven commitment to Su Casa's mission
● Empathy and ability to work across diverse cultural, socio-economic, and ethnic backgrounds
● Excellent servant-leadership qualities, including active listening, decision-making, conflict resolution, patience, open-mindedness, and flexibility
● Ability to self-direct, manage multiple priorities, and measure, track, and analyze project impact and results
● High level of computer literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly
● Familiarity with Jackson, Jennings, Shelby, and/or Johnson County employers and communities is a plus
Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree
● Able to work in the United States and pass background check
● Possess valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel across a 4-county
region
