40th Annual Our Hospice Concert Raises Over $110,000
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
 
[Columbus, Indiana] September 07, 2026 – The 40th Annual Our Hospice Concert returned to the Bartholomew County Public Library steps in downtown Columbus on Saturday, September 5, bringing the community together for an afternoon of music, celebration, and support for Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. With support from our community partners, raffle participants, sponsors, and benefactors, the milestone event raised $110,000 to support Our Hospice patients and their loved ones, helping Make Every Moment Count.
 
The 40th Annual Our Hospice Concert marked a return to the library steps, where the concert tradition began in 1987. Local favorites 40 Years of College and 3 Beards Strummin performed during the free outdoor event. Students from Columbus East Center Stage sang the national anthem, and C4 culinary students prepared pre-concert food for sponsors and band members. Longtime Our Hospice supporter Hutch Schumaker served as emcee, helping energize the crowd and make the evening a true celebration.
 
“Celebrating 40 years of this tradition back at the library steps made this year’s concert especially meaningful,” said Steph Cain, President of Our Hospice. “For four decades, this concert has brought our community together around our mission to Make Every Moment Count. We are grateful to everyone who joined us, volunteered, sponsored the event, purchased raffle tickets, and helped make this milestone possible.”
 
Cain added, “We are especially grateful to our Title Sponsor Dunlap General & Mechanical Contractors, Rock Star Sponsors Columbus Regional Health and Johnson-Witkemper Insurance, and the Bartholomew County Public Library for helping us bring the concert back downtown for its 40th year.”
 
The annual $10,000 raffle added to the celebration, with Tracy Price selected as the grand prize winner during the concert. Tickets were sold for $10 each in support of Our Hospice.
 
Funds raised through the concert directly support Our Hospice’s mission to Make Every Moment Count and the full family of services it provides, including hospice care, palliative care, personal care, and grief support for patients and their loved ones throughout the region.
