IU Columbus offers walk-in weeks and summer support

There’s still time to apply for IU Columbus and begin classes for fall 2026. Throughout the summer, IU Columbus is offering walk-in hours, giving students and families the chance to connect with admissions and financial aid staff, ask questions, and receive hands-on help with next steps.

“We’re here to help students who may still be exploring their options or whose plans have changed,” said Jayne Morris, assistant director of enrollment management. “We have a team ready to help ease the process.”

Morris added that anyone is welcome for walk-in hours: recent high school graduates who are still deciding on their next steps, transfer students, returning adults, current high school students planning ahead, and admitted students who have questions about their next steps.

“Take Note” walk-in week is June 8–12 and all participants will receive a free notebook. “Next Step” week is July 13–17 and attendees will receive IU Columbus socks.

Walk-in participants should arrive between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. All visits begin at the Admissions Office, located inside Door 3 of the Campus Center Building at 4601 Central Ave.

In addition, IU Columbus is offering walk-in hours every Wednesday (9 a.m. – 4 p.m.) through Aug. 6. Prospective students are also welcome to schedule an in-person or virtual appointment at their convenience.
