January 2025 Emergency Blood Appeal

This morning Versiti Blood Center of Indiana issued an emergency plea for blood donations. Winter
weather and a rise in illness have significantly disrupted donations, resulting in less than a day’s supply
of critical blood types for patients in our local hospitals.

We are reaching out to the community for support and are asking for your support to help encourage
blood donation in the coming days.

How you can help

• Personally schedule an appointment to donate blood today.
• Consider hosting an emergency blood drive at your work, school, or place of worship.
