Catalyst Columbus Ecosystem Awards Recognize Outstanding Local Leaders

Columbus, IN – May 14, 2025 – The Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated the inaugural Catalyst Columbus Ecosystem Awards on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at The Commons.. This free, community-wide event honored individuals and organizations driving innovation, supporting entrepreneurs, and making a positive social impact in Bartholomew County.

Keynote Presentation
As part of the evening’s program, Dr. Kevin J. Jones delivered an engaging talk titled “AI Is Everywhere, Now What?” exploring practical applications of artificial intelligence in small and mid-sized businesses, strategies for responsible AI adoption, and insights into navigating the rapidly evolving AI landscape.

Award Categories & Winners
Each award highlights a distinct facet of Columbus’s entrepreneurial ecosystem:

• Entrepreneur of the Year
  Recognizes an established business owner whose leadership and success have significantly contributed to the local economy.
  Winner: Lindsey Babinec – Blondie’s Salon & Spa

• Rising Entrepreneur of the Year
  Honors a business under five years old demonstrating remarkable potential and early success.
  Winner: Michelle Mulimba – Stunna’s Meal Prep

• Innovation Award
  Celebrates a breakthrough idea or technology with the power to propel Columbus forward.
  Winner: Alyn Brown – KAMP Technologies

• Ecosystem Advocate Award
  Acknowledges organizations that nurture the entrepreneurial community through mentorship, resources, or collaboration.
  Winner: Hamilton Accounting Services

• Social Impact Award
  Commends efforts that address social challenges, improve quality of life, and strengthen community bonds.
